Houston, We got a problem

Moving to Houston in the midst of Hurrican Ike was truly an experience and blessing. It was really stressful at times, especially trying to schedule closing escrow of the home I just bought, and the title company had no power to process my paperworks. But I got thru it alright. While I saw many destuctions and damages on the news, and personally had to wait in a long line to get water and ice and at the gas station, I got power on my home rather quickly and have no damages (knock on wood) other than a couple of broken tree limbs, which were easy to clean up and remove.
The weather of the past few weeks has been fantastic. Gone is the humidity and rain. It has been sunny, warm during the day and cool during the night, much like the California SF Bay area(where I moved from) weather I am used to.
